Belgium welcomes you to a whole range of wonderful holidays! From sports holidays on the coast, cultural city breaks to holidays in the great outdoors of the Ardennes. Belgium is also known for it’s master painters, works of art and museums, especially Flanders in the north. There are 3 linguistic zones: a minority speak German. In the north, Dutch is spoken and in the south (Walloon) French is the predominant language. In the capital, Brussels, both Dutch and French are spoken.

Belgium surprises gastronomic lovers with its diverse and carefully prepared dishes. The menus at restaurants are often inspired by French cuisine but also have Flemish influences, or a combination of both, and of course international cuisine. Even though chips are well known everywhere in the world, they are wonderful in Belgium and don’t taste so good anywhere else. They are served with a large variety of sauces and you will find kiosks selling them on street corners. The reputation of Belgian chocolates reached beyond national boundaries long ago. And don’t forget the beer! In Belgium there are hundreds of different beers and each region has its own speciality.

Belgium has a vast network of motorways and secondary roads. The motorways are lit at night. In the towns and built up areas the speed limit is 50 km/hr, outside the towns 90 km/hr and on the motorways the limit is 120 km/hr. The alcohol limit is 0.5 pro mille. You are obliged by law to wear a seatbelt both in the front and back of the vehicle.
